Overview

Another great base if you are into fishing, there are a crazy amount of fishing lakes nearby! We stayed here for a weekend as we had an appointment in Oxford (and the Oxford CCC has closed). This site would be an ideal base to explore Oxford and the local area. A short review, but we hope to return.

Pitch Description / condition

All the patches were well spaced out and surrounded by mature shrubs and planting making this site look beautiful even in February. Our pitch sloped from front to back and our levellers had both front wheel off the ground. Most pitches looked fairly level. Our fully serviced pitch had electric, water and drainage. Unfortunately the drainage was located towards the right of the pitch so we had to re-position the van to get the hose to reach. We have since upgraded to a larger waste hose! Our pitch had a nice green area and a picnic bench.

Customer Service

Everyone we saw were very welcoming and provided lots of good advice. No complaints with

Facilities

The facilities were quite modern, warm and very clean. Nice reception with shop. The gym and pool were closed but open in the main season times.

Dog Friendly

The site is dog friendly and had advertised a dog walking area on their website, however this appears to have been built on with new houses. The village is nice to walk around with the dogs. If we were staying longer, we would have bought the tow car to venture further afield to give them a good run out.

Nearby

There is a really nice pub called The Black Horse who provide takeaway food just a few minutes walk from the site. They provided us with a lovely Sunday roast dinner!

Oxford is 10 or so miles from the site and has lots of things to see and do.
