Since 2020 we have been touring the country in either a VW Campervan or our Motorhome, we used to fill in one of those log books so that we remembered where we’d been (old age haha!), but the book was always in the wrong place… in the van or in the home…
So after a while, we decided to put our log online.. Primarily this is for ourselves, our own record of places we’ve been, but it may prove useful to others as well.
Our reviews will be based around what we are looking for… especially with our cockapoo Cassie also on board! We will try and be as fair as possible and in time, will explain how we rate below.

Rating Guide
Ratings are very subjective and we try to standardise our approach below and apply the same system to each review. To be clear, we are reviewing the package that we booked, for instance, there may be better pitches available which could change the pitch ratings and so on but we are rating our stay on what we booked.

A rating of one to ten points based on the whole site appearance / feel.
Pitch
Two points awarded for each of the following if present.
- level pitch
- Well presented and clear
- Good separation between neighbours
- Sheltered
- Within easy reach of toilets and showers
Customer Service
Two points awarded for each of the following if present.
- Reservation was simple and easy
- Communication was clear in correspondence
- A friendly welcome
- Map or guide of campsite provided
- Additional information of local area available
Facilities
Two points awarded for each of the following if present.
- Toilet and shower block
- Elson points (green or blue chemical)
- Good access to water (if not on pitch)
- Motorhome Service point (if not on pitch)
- Launderette
Dog Friendly
Two points awarded for each of the following if present.
- allow dogs
- offers a dog “on lead” walk area
- offers an off lead exercise area
- offers other facilities like dog wash station
- offers café / restaurant / bar facilities which are dog friendly
