Our Route
Overview
The site was clean and well maintained, the grass was cut and not too muddy considering the rubbish weather we had. Bathroom and washrooms were fresh and clean just like you’d expect from a caravanning and campervanning site. Grey waste was disposed of by a drive over drain and there was an elsom point + the best water pressure ever! took no time to fill the tank!!
Pitch Description / condition
We were escorted to our pitch by a really nice chap, he did park us round the wrong way initially, but then the right way (it was only his first week!). The pitch had a standard electric bollard shared with others. The pitches did not appear to be marked clearly, and at times we felt like people may or may not have been walking across our pitch?? But it is just glass pitches and maybe we are used to hard standing.
The pitch was not level, they made sure we pitched facing downhill so it would be easier to get off with the expected torrential rain!
Customer Service
Everyone seemed really friendly and were very helpful and gave some great advice about the nearby walks and pubs. We did not receive a welcome pack or gate code but we put this down to the guys first week lol, although we didn’t end up needing any codes.
Facilities
There was one main toilet and shower block and another block which housed reception, and maybe the games room and launderette (but we did not need to visit these).
Dog Friendly
The site was dog friendly with poo bins dotted about. There was no specific area for pets and no exercise area, however next door was a huge playing field with gate access from the camp.
- Dogs must remain on leads (Normal for most sites)
- Not allowed in toilets /showers / launderette (Normal for most sites)
- No exercise area (but playing fields next door)
Nearby
The canal is next door to the site with great walks to the north and south into Kidderminster. We did walk to Kidderminster which was 1.9 miles and took about an hour with the dog! The Lock Pub was also new door to the site and served food and drink (we stopped for a drink only), a little further way (5 mins) there is a crazy golf course, which was closed probably because the weather was rubbish and a little further is the village of Wolverley with a very dog friendly pub called The Queens head where we had some nice food and drinks on a soggy day – Cassie had lots of biscuits from the bar staff!
