Overview
This is where it all began, our first camping trip in the VW. Never has there been so much rain, well it was October lol. At the time we didn’t take a lot of photos so this is more of a mention than a review.
Pitch Description / condition
We choose a grass pitch and at this time of year you had a choice of pitch anywhere. Our initial pitch was as per the image above with our driveaway awning. it was level and considering the weather the ground was quite firm. After 2 days, we decided to try camping without the awning and moved to a different pitch (due to noisy neighbours). In this part of the park, the ground was fairly soft in lower areas with a motorhome being pulled out by a tractor, but we parked up the hill and it was fine.
Facilities
The park is very well equipped, especially for families. Clubhouse and swimming pool available. We watched some live music in the club house and had a go at bingo! Our van is called Gizmo, so its only right we took our mascot with us!
Other information
We didn’t have dogs at the time of our stay and have no further information. Although this site is only a few miles from us, we plan to go back.
