Eye Kettleby Lakes is a family run fishery which has been running alongside the farm for over 30 years. Located just on the outskirts of Melton Mowbray, set in 150 acres of rolling Leicestershire countryside. Our guests enjoy the tranquillity of the site with a variety of local activities nearby to suit anybody’s needs and wants.

Overview
The site is huge and very well laid out. All areas were clean and tidy and the staff were very welcoming. Fishing is definitely the top draw for this site with many lakes to choose from. It was lovely to have dog friendly
Pitch Description / condition
Our pitch was close to level and had water, electric and drainage on a shared pole with the adjacent pitch. The pitch was enclosed with laurel hedging and was very spacious.
Customer Service
Generally, everyone we met was really friendly and helpful. The grounds keepers were also quick to wave a hello in our direction. On occasion we had to wait a while to be noticed at the entrance to the restaurant (“wait here to be seated”) even though no one seemed busy or serving other customer.
Facilities
There were 2 identical facilities blocks within a short walk of our pitch. They were both immaculately cleaned and contained toilets, showers, washing up and laundry facilities. At each end an Elson point and a dog wash station. The buildings were warm with music playing (which I love!).
There is a nice shop at reception which sells a selection of essentials and some gift items, along with fishing tackle, bait and gear. The Restaurant / bar is modern and welcoming and is split into 2 sections, one side is dog friendly, the other is not. There is outdoor seating, but we were advised that no food is served outside (this was on a Sunday, maybe other days its different).
Dog Friendly
Eye Kettleby Lakes is very dog friendly, its great to be able to pop into the restaurant and grab some food with Cassie. The 2 dog exercise fields are great and like everything on this site, very spacious. The addition of the dog wash is awesome, and the shop even carried some dog toys and essentials.
Cassie certainly enjoyed herself and met some other cockapoos in the bar while mummy and daddy were getting tipsy!
Nearby
The lovely town of Melton Mowbray is located a short distance away, we decided to get a taxi as it was raining. There are some nice places to eat and of course “Ye Olde Pork Pie shoppe” where we found a stilton topped pie! YUM YUM!
There are a few opportunities to order take aways if you want. We ordered Pizza and it was delivered to our pitch! (as we say in Devon.. Proper Job!)
