Our Route
Cleanliness
Considering this park had only just opened for the season, the toilet facilities were clean and the park grounds were in good order.
Pitch
The Pitch was hardstanding with water, grey waste and electric (Metre). When we booked, we received a £10 credit for electric and we used £18 in total. As we had Cassie with us, we were in the pet zone and there was a separate area for no pets which was located at the opposite side of the park.
Level?
The pitch was close to level.
Customer Service
The site team were very friendly and helpful! If we paid cash for the electric, they offered us a refund for any unused on our card. We had an issue with our neighbour on the last day which we mentioned and although nothing happened as a result, if this had happened earlier I’m sure they would have sorted it – The neighbour, being quite inconsiderate spread out so much that there was no gap between our motorhome and their car / awning / dog barriers / caravan etc
Facilities
The site had male and female toilet blocks and individual shower units. There was a launderette and washing up area and best of all a dog wash! The only issue we had was that the lights in the toilets did not come on until it was really dark…In the high season, the site has a visiting fish and chip van.
Dog Friendly
The site is split into halfs, 1 half being pet friendly, the other not. There is a dog wash and a huge secure dog exercise area which had open and shaded areas, a few benches and a dog bin.
Nearby
This site is perfected located to explore some of the best places Cornwall has to offer. We visited Port Isaac, Padstow, Newquay, Penzance, St Ives and Healeys Cyder Farm. In Chacewater, there are take aways including an excellent mexican called “The Cabana” We also rode our bikes a short distance to Poldice Mine, which is a Heritage site containing lots of path and off road mountain biking.
